#OOTD: 13th January 2015, Stripes and Flats

In my post last week I said my January is all about chilling out so I'm back with another casual outfit post.
I'm wearing two things here that I never normally do: a shirt and flat shoes. I know that sounds a little odd but I've never really liked this style of flat until recently and I just fell in love with this shirt when I spotted it in the ASOS sale.

As per usual, my shoes are another ASOS sale bargain by London Rebel, they were only £12! I've become a little obsessed with slipper style flats recently, and also with velvet so keep your eyes peeled for more of these.
I cannot get enough of my new Zara handbag, which was a Christmas present from my mum. It's the perfect size: big enough for essentials but small enough that it doesn't cause shoulder pain! I really love the quilted detailing too, it makes it look so much more expensive.
As it's still the middle of Winter, I had to pair my shirt with some fur and this gilet has been my favourite since about October. It was from Next and I believe it's sold out now, but I'm pretty sure with a hunt through the on-going sales you could find one like it.

I can't wait  to go shopping for the new season now that it's January and I already have a wish list which I will be posting soon. I'm loving the re-vamped sports luxe trend (which Topshop is doing extremely well) and also the military styling I've spotted on ASOS. What new season trends are you looking forward to? #OOTD: 5th January 2015, The Shearling Coat of Dreams

This is my first post of 2015, so happy new year to you all! I hope you all had an amazing 2014 and are ready to kill it this year!
I don't know about anyone else but I had such a busy December that I'm hoping my January is quiet and hassle-free. My January is all about chilling out, so get ready for some casual looks on the blog this month.
Today's outfit is just really cosy, I'm trying to keep the frost out! I've wanted a shearling coat for months and months but I've never really found one I loved - except the Topshop beauty that was around £500! But just before Christmas I was trawling through the ASOS sale and low and behold this gorgeous coat came up... At half price! So obviously I ordered it immediately, at £45 I couldn't say no.

Coat, ASOS. Hat, ASOS. Jumper, Topshop. Bag, Topshop. Jeans, Topshop. Boots, River Island

The coat is just so snuggly and warm, it's definitely my new favourite! I wanted it to look oversized so I ordered a 14, this was also mainly so it would be long enough in the arms so if you are tall I'd recommend ordering a size up. The pug hat is also a recent sale buy from and it's just so cute! If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you'll already know I'm obsessed with pugs.
The jumper unfortunately is not in the sale! It comes in so many colours that I was looking forward to stocking up, but never mind. This is the 'Mustard' colour and I don't really ever wear this colour so I thought I'd experiment and I'm glad I did, I love it! Also, the shape is really flattering, it oversized enough to hide the Christmas bloat but it's not too baggy. I'll definitely be buying more colours.
I bought these boots way back in October and they are the perfect winter boots. The cleated sole means they actually have a little grip on the ice and they are fleece lined for extra snuggliness. The black pair are sold out but I've put up a link for the grey ones which are equally lovely!

What bargains have you picked up in the sales? Leave me a comment!
