Seventies Vibes with Boohoo

It's officially the end of Summer. September is the month for change; the days get cooler and fashion becomes transitional.

Top, skirt and boots, all courtesy of Boohoo. Bag, similar here. Jacket, similar here.

If you're a regular reader of my blog, you'll already know I'm obsessed with all things seventies, I really do think I was born in the wrong era sometimes! Seventies suede is having a moment right now and its continuing on into the new season. There's no better fabric to wear during this pre-autumn period.
suede skirt is a staple and I've paired this navy one from Boohoo with this high neck crop tee for a pop of colour. Just because it's no longer summer that doesn't mean you can't wear florals! If, like me, you can't get enough of suede, click here see all the suede goodness Boohoo has to offer.
I think my favourite piece I'm wearing here has got to be these fringed ankle boots. Fringing is the perfect nod to the seventies trend, a great way to ease yourself in to the look without committing fully. Boohoo has a great selection of ankle boots this season and this pair are no exception. I've already worn them so many times, both casual and a little more dressed up. They look especially good with straight leg jeans. You can't go wrong with a black ankle boot, and the fringe on this pair adds interest to an otherwise plain staple.
If you're lusting after all things seventies and boho, take a look at the selection here and here... Happy shopping!

MFW : Catwalk Favourites

So I am finally getting around to uploading my MFW and PFW favourites, I've had a very hectic few weeks! How fast did February fly by? But it's finally heading into Spring, which is also very exciting!

I've never been to Milan but it is definitely a city on my bucket list! As for Italian Fashion? Three words: Prada, Fendi, Armani... Milan is the home of chic and this season was no exception.

Prada

Pastels for Autumn is so refreshing, and I can't get enough of these pointed shoes!

Fendi

This colour palette is perfection, it will complement nearly everyone. And how amazing is the furry fluffy number?

Max Mara

What I wouldn't give for a Max Mara coat! The white fur bomber is to die for.

Versace

The pops of colour at Versace looked almost futuristic and the shoes were just fabulous, especially the thigh high boots.

Georgio Armani

This collection really shows how feminine trousers can really be, and how they can work excellently for evening wear.

Emilio Pucci

Pucci is always wearable in a sort of unapologetic sexy way. I'm not normally a huge fan of sheer fabrics but this collection may have swayed me...

Roberto Cavalli

Leopard print anything and you've got me.

Which collections were your favourite from Milan? Keep your eyes on the blog over the next few weeks for PFW and a few Spring OOTD!

LFW : Catwalk Favourites

Every season I tell myself I will go down to London for Fashion Week, and yet again I missed out... BUT I'm 100% going to go in September! It's in writing now so I have to do it.

London is perhaps the most outlandish of fashion month; anything goes as long as it's statement making and bold. This aesthetic is also reflected in the street style, major inspo both on and off the catwalk!

Topshop Unique

I want this whole collection in my wardrobe right now! So seventies, so wearable!

Burberry Prorsum

This collection shouldn't work, but it does. If there was ever an advert for getting creative with prints and patterns, this is it!

Antonio Berardi

I really love the colour palette here and the mixture of structural silhouettes.

Marques'Almeida

I'm just obsessed with the denim, I love how any item of clothing is transformed if it's re-made in denim.

Roksanda

I think this collection is my favourite of all so far, everything about it is perfect. The bold colour and texture clashes with the ladylike silhouettes and it's truly a heavenly mix. These bright colours are so refreshing for AW.

Christopher Kane

I think this collection is all about perception and contrasts. Its daring.

Mary Katrantzou

The constituent elements of this collection seem to be at odds with one another, but it strangely all works together. The contrasting materials create something beautiful.

Emilia Wickstead

There's a certain easy elegance and covetability about Wickstead's collection. And a little bit of luxury.

Next up Milan! Check back this weekend for my favourites!
