#OOTD, 13th February: Dressed Up Double Denim

I'm sooo fed up of Winter weather, so instead I'm looking ahead to Spring. I've been sceptical of double denim in the past but since seeing it all over the SS15 runways looking so chic I thought I'd give it a go.

Shirt, ASOS. Jeans, Topshop. Boots, H&M (similar here). Clutch, Zara (sold out).

I've had these mom jeans a while and I just love the relaxed shape, they are so comfy. I thought this shirt would be a good staple to have in my wardrobe and I'm already so glad I bought it. As well as been the perfect partner for double denim, the oversize pockets make it a subtle nod to the utility trend that is set to be huge come Spring. I think the heeled boots and clutch dress the denim up a little and I would definitely wear this look out, on the other hand just add a should bag and trainers and you've got yourself the perfect casual-cool look.

Have you tried out any of the new season trends yet? I'd love to see, leave me a comment!

#OOTD, 10th February, New Semester New Season

It may not feel like Spring  outside yet, but Spring has definitely sprung on the high-street! There are a few little hints of the new season in my ensemble today, but it's still too cold to go coat-less!
Today was my first day back at uni after the longest Christmas holiday and I was feeling rather fresh, so I went for lighter colours.

Shirt, ASOS. Jumper, ASOS (similar here). Bag, DKNY Active (sold out). Jeans, Topshop. Adidas trainers, ASOS

As always I'm wearing my trusty Joni jeans again but one of my New Years [Style] Resolutions is to experiment more with clothes so watch this space! How cute is this bag? I saw it in the ASOS sale and I had to have it - hello double denim! Winter is all about layering for me and I love the fit of this boyfriend shirt because it's long enough to layer under a knit, and it's also striped which I can't get enough of lately.

I also think I need to start doing things with my hair: the bed head look is getting old! If anyone has any easy tutorials or styles then leave me a comment because I need some inspiration!

I have to thank my bestie Shannon for taking these photos for me in the Sheffield Peace Gardens, although I'm not sure I like posing for photos in a busy public place!

Gift Guide: Urban Outfitters

I've never done a gift guide before but I like to think I'm pretty good at picking the perfect gifts for people. The perfect gift has to strike a balance between thoughtful and price-appropriate, nobody likes the awkward feeling when you open up a present and realise you spent more on the other person or vice versa! I also think the gifts you give should be personal: they should reflect the personality of the person you are buying for, I hate generic/general presents!
With this in mind I thought I'd put together a little guide from one of my favourite stores; Urban Outfitters. All year, Urban Outfitters are on point when it comes to clothes and quirky items but it seems at Christmas they really up their game!

101 Places To Get F*cked Up Before You Die, £9.99
We all have that party-animal friend, and we all tend to just buy them some fancy-ish booze for Christmas, but this book solves that issue. This present is a lot more personal than a bottle of fancy Baileys and it will probably give your friend some much needed inspiration... Also, it's well worth checking out all the books Urban Outfitters has to offer, there are some really great ones!

Perfume Jewellery Box, £25
This gorgeous jewellery box doubles as a very pretty ornament and will brighten up any lack-lustre student house! This is the perfect gift for a stylish best friend or accessory mad sister.
  Prosecco candle, £6
A Prosecco scented candle? Can you say decadent Secret Santa present for a bargain price?

Keora Keora Furry Poodle iPhone 5 Case, £35
This phone case is the perfect accessory for a season that is obsessed with texture and fluff. To be honest this is probably the perfect gift for myself, I'm obsessed with fluffy things!

Hearts Photo Chain, £12
You can't really get much more personal than a photo gift. Find your five favourite photos of you and your friend and give them the gift of memories... Perfect.

Woouf Popcorn Cushion, £45
This is an excellent present for your interior-obsessed friend. Just make sure the colours match with their decorating!

Bunny Stapler, £10
Normal stationery is boring and bland. This cute stapler will cheer up any workspace.

Pug Mug, £9
I cannot get over how cute this mug is. If you know a tea/coffee addict, they definitely need this mug!

Street Style Memory Game, £15
If you need a gift for a fashion-lover that's a little more original than clothing, then this is a good alternative.

I hope I've inspired you! Urban Outfitters are also offering FREE express delivery right now, so get shopping!
