Style Crush: Emma Watson

I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter and I've always loved Emma Watson. She's beautiful, incredibly intelligent and very talented; serious girl crush! Over her years in the spotlight her style has evolved and now I think it's fair to say she is an admired style icon.
I think Emma always looks so elegant on the red carpet, but she's not afraid to experiment and I love that! Also, not every girl can work the pixie crop like she did!

Emma recently gave a speech at the UN, if you haven't heard about it you must have been living under a rock! I personally found it thought-provoking and very inspiring, so if you haven't already hear it watch it here

I've selected a few of my favourite looks below, which do you like best? Leave me a comment!

Emma does off-duty very well, I love her dungarees!

Loafers and a camel coat, classic.

Emma always looks elegant at events.

I love how her lipstick here complements the berry-coloured section of her dress, pulls the look together.

Pointed court shoes are always a must.

Sometimes a dress like this can overwhelm the woman wearing it, but I think Emma wears this Dior dress so well.

This look from the 2014 Golden Globes ended up being really controversial and completely divided opinion. I think she pulls it off effortlessly and this dress-over-trousers looks very cool, a much needed change from the typical red carpet dress.

Emma looks very pretty and effortlessly elegant in this J Mendel dress.

This Erdem dress is perfect for Emma, and again she's wearing her go-to black heels.

This textured Burberry mini perfectly matches Emma's skintone and I love her chunky wedges.

Top 5: Faux Fur

I think it's safe to say Autumn is definitely under way and with it officially been the first day of Autumn yesterday, I thought a fur-themed top five was necessary. Nothing is comfier or cuddlier than snuggling up in fur when it comes to the colder months. I'll always buy faux fur though and with manufacturing techniques improving, you can buy faux fur that still looks luxurious.

1. Black Faux Fur Slouch Bag, River Island, £37.
I've been looking for a more autumnal casual bag and this may just be the answer!
2. Faux Fur Scarf, ASOS, £30. This scarf has been on my wishlist for a while, I love the pink tint to it. It will keep me warm whilst brightening up my outfit.

3. Faux Fur Vest, Zara, £39.99. This vest looks so much more expensive than it actually is, an absolute bargain!

4. Faux Fur Open Toe Sandals, New Look, £24.99. If you are just after a hint of fur, these sandals are perfect. Also, they will definitely keep your toes warm on a night out!

5. ASOS Faux Fur Oversized Coat, £75. Look at this coat. You will never be cold in this coat, ever! It just looks so warm and snuggly.

Which item is your favourite? Have you already bought a fur coat this Autumn? Leave me a comment!

#OOTD: 18th September, Autumn Textures

The weather lately has definitely taken an autumnal turn and I think we've seen the last of the summer. This makes me a little sad because who doesn't love the sun? But at the same time, autumn is my favourite season to style! I love all the jumpers and new coats as well as the textures and colours. Also, one word: layering. This is my first properly autumnal outfit post and I'm very excited for the rest of the season outfit wise!

I bought this gilet on Wednesday from Next. I've been looking for the perfect faux fur gilet for a while. I wanted one that didn't look too cheap and tacky, but also wasn't too pricey. Tricky I know! This grey one feels so luxurious and it was only £38 ! Absolute bargain. I've also got my eye on a brown gilet in Zara so watch this space.

The jumper I am wearing is Acne and it's from New York, namely the designer outlet store Century 21. It was an absolute find! A total bargain and it's the perfect piece to layer as it's very thin wool. Also, the colour is a great icy pale blue, perfect for this season.
This outfit is all about texture. From the metal studs on my bag to the wool of my jumper and the fur on the gilet.

I am committing a fashion crime here by wearing socks and sandals. Or am I? I've recently seen a lot of socks and sandals action on Instagram lately so I figured I'd give it a go! Leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts!

I thought I'd wear a dark lip because the rest of my outfit is pale and the rest of my make-up is understated. Here I'm wearing Smoked Purple by MAC with Breathless by Benefit over the top to add a bit of a sheen.

Have you made any new season purchases yet? I'd love to see them, leave me a comment!

Bambi in NYC: What I Bought, Make-Up

As you'll probably already know, I did a LOT of shopping on my recent trip to New York and this is my second post showing all my purchases. If you missed my first NYC post, you can see it here.
This next instalment features all the make-up products I bought, mainly MAC. I love MAC make-up and it's such a bargain in the USA compared to UK prices. Although I did want to try some other brands, I know MAC is good already and suits my skin so I bought that instead. Also, Sephora was a little overwhelming and I panicked!

I've wanted a Naked palette for a while now and Naked 2 is my favourite. I waited to buy one in New York because the pricing is so different. This will definitely become one of my make-up staples, the neutral shades are perfect for any occasion.

MAC lipsticks are only £9 in America! I am so jealous of the Americans who get to take advantage of that price all the time. As well as an everyday nude shade, I bought some bold Autumnal colours too.
L-R Kinda Sexy, Captive, Russian Red, Sin.

I never really use lip liner but I was so surprised how much more polished a red lip looks with a liner. This liner is Kiss Me Quick.

I love the Victoria's Secret body products and they were 5 for $30, here they are £14 each! The saving was huge so my sister and I bought 5 products between us.

Body sprays are a definite must-have of mine, I like to wear them during the day and then I'll use a perfume in the evening.

This coconut and vanilla body lotion smells amazing! It smells like holidays and I love it.

I also bought a Benefit Gimme Brow eyebrow gel, look out for a product review coming soon!

Bambi in NYC: What I Bought, Accessories

As some of you may know, I recently visited New York for the first time. I got home Thursday morning and I'm only just getting back to normal, I didn't want to get back to reality at all! I absolutely loved New York! It was a truly amazing trip and I got to do some excellent things, including lots of shopping! Keep your eye on my blog this week for lots of NYC themed posts, from tourist photos to my purchases!

I saved up for nearly a year for my trip, including actually paying for the trip and spending money. If you caught my previous post, you'll have seen some of the things I wanted to buy while I was away and I definitely ticked off everything on my shopping list!

This first NY installment is dedicated to the many accessories I purchased in America, I'm a huge fan of the NYC department stores!

The first thing I bought was this gorgeous Michael Kors bag, I've wanted it for absolutely ages!

This Calvin Klein purse was an absolute bargain in Century 21, New York's answer to TK Maxx.

Macy's. 30% off. I was in heaven! Decided if I was going to buy the Marc Jacobs earrings, I definitely needed a ring to match. Be rude to say no at 30% off!

If you are a fan of accessories, Henri Bendel is the store you should visit in NYC! With three floors of beautiful jewellery and handbags it's amazing. I love how this bangle is a little different and unique.

My boyfriend bought me the ring I wanted from Tiffany for my birthday, but he's taken it away to wrap it up so I can't wear it for a few weeks yet. *sad face*

These earrings are also a birthday present but these are from my mum. It was so hard to pick in Tiffany! Too many pretty items.

My mum, sister and I all got matching Pandora bracelets with an apple charm to commemorate our time in New York.

This watch could possibly be my favourite purchase. I got it in Bloomingdales on our last day and they even sized it for me for free.

Keep a look out this week for my other New York themed blogs!

My NYC Wishlist

So this Saturday I'm going to New York for five days and I'm so excited! As well as shopping on Fifth Avenue being a dream come true, it's also Fashion Week whilst I'm there, definitely be creeping and celeb-spotting!
I plan on doing a loooooooot of shopping whilst I'm away so I thought I'd share my wishlist with you all...

Michael Kors satchel, 'Sutton' medium.
I am in love with this bag! So classic, not sure whether to get this nude colour or black though.. hmmm. Wish I could get both!

J Brand jeand, Indigo Sateen Maria in 'Atmosphere'.
Skinny jeans are my favourite and I've wanted a pair of J brand jeans for years. The pricing in the US is so different to here, so excited to finally get some!

Urban Decay Naked2 Palette.
I've become obsessed with everything nude, whether its lippy or eyeshadow so I need to add this to my growing collection.

NARS Lipstick in Fire Down Below.
I want a really dark burgundy red lipstick and I think this is the perfect shade for Autumn.
Kate Spade New York watch.
Last year my boyfriend bought me a gorgeous gold Vivienne Westwood watch. I love it but I think I need a silver watch now too (I know, such a shopaholic!). I really like this Kate Spade one as it's so big but not chunky.

iPad Air.
Carrying a laptop around at uni is such a hassle, so an iPad is perfect!
Tiffany 1837 ring in silver.
It's my birthday at the end of September so my boyfriend is giving me some money to buy this ring for my birthday whilst I'm away. And I didn't even have to hint anything to him...
There are sooo many more things I plan on buying in New York, especially from MAC, Benefit and Sephora, but these are the main few I'll be looking out for especially. I'm sure I'll come back with lots of clothes too, looking forward to visiting Barney's 7th floor! I've also been told the Forever 21 and H&M on Fifth are really good. I really can't wait to go now! I'll be back next Thursday so look out for some NYC themed posts next week!
